  • Radiata Pine is a species of Pine tree that originates from California. Introduced to New Zealand in the 1850s, Radiata Pine is now the most commonly used timber in construction and packaging. Its widespread use is due to its fast growth and its ability to tolerate many types of terrain and soils. Plantations can be seen around rural New Zealand.

    Radiata Pine is incredibly versatile. It is a medium density wood and is used in a variety of ways. Some uses include:

    • Construction (Framing & Engineering Projects)

    • Interior Design (Furniture, Flooring and Roofing)

    • Packaging (Pallets, Cable Drums, Boxes & Bins)

    • Outdoor Fixtures (Fencing & Landscaping)

  • Standards New Zealand, a branch of the New Zealand Government provide NZS 3621:1988 which establishes grading rules for Timber. We specialise in box (packaging/industrial) grade timber but can supply a range of treated structural timber on request.
